Tin Can Podcast Open Submission

Would you like to write for an award winning podcast company? Now’s your opportunity. Tin Can Podcast are looking for 5 or 10 minute audio plays to go out in our weekly slot. Just write a play and email it to us by the 31^st August and if selected Tin Can Podcast will produce and broadcast it.

 Terms and Conditions

 Plays should be 5 or 10 minutes long, as a guide this is either 800 or 1600 words. Only plays of this length will be considered.

1. All plays should be in English.
2. Plays should be written in standard BBC Radio Format. This can be found at BBC Writersroom
3. Plays should be submitted in PDF or Word formats only.
4. Only plays written for audio will be considered. Screenplays or play texts will be rejected.
5. Plays should be complete, self contained works.
6. Plays can be written by more than one writer.
7. Plays can be in any genre, but any material we deem to be derogatory to any racial, religious or sexual groups will.
8. All selected writers will be notified by 31^st October 2011. If you haven’t heard by that date then you will not have been selected in this round.
9. Previous rejected plays will not be considered.
10. Writers can submit more than one play.
11. No feedback or correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful writers.
12. All selected plays will be broadcast within 6 months.
13. No copies will be available prior to broadcast.
14. All writers will be notified in advance of broadcast
15. Writers retain copyright in respect of their script.  Tin Can Podcast retain ownership of copyright for all recorded works produced under the name Tin Can Podcast. All recorded works may be edited for any reason including broadcast or promotional purposes.
